Job Description

Do you have a strong technical background in application development and are you looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to make a difference? Do you want to join a dynamic and forward-thinking council that is undergoing an ambitious transformation programme? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as an app dev team leader at Aberdeenshire Council.

As an app dev team leader, you will lead a team of app developers who are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a range of mobile and web applications that support the council's services and objectives. You will also work closely with other teams and stakeholders across the council to ensure that the apps are aligned with the council's digital strategy and user needs. You will have a key role in shaping the council's digital landscape and delivering innovative solutions that improve the lives of our residents, businesses and visitors.

As an employee of Aberdeenshire Council, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including a competitive salary, a generous local government pension scheme, flexible working policy, with the option to work from home or from one of our offices, a range of shopping discounts and offers from various retailers and service providers; and a supportive and inclusive work environment, with opportunities for learning and development.

This post requires a Disclosure Scotland Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of this check being deemed satisfactory.
