Full Job Description

Royal London is seeking an IT Operations Analyst to ensure accurate maintenance of batch schedules and thorough acceptance testing, delivering quality system changes without compromising the production environment. The goal is to drive continuous improvements in availability, currency, and commerciality, supporting our mission to enhance customer choice. About your role

  • Setting Up and Implementing Operating Environments: Establishing and managing the operating environment for new data applications, including scheduling and program controls.
  • Production Support and Problem Resolution: Offering comprehensive support for production processes and resolving operational issues, which may require on-call availability.
  • Change Management: Overseeing the Change Management process for the applications environment, ensuring changes are documented and managed effectively.
  • Data Protection: Ensuring all business applications are protected to prevent data loss during online and batch processing.
  • Disaster Recovery and Risk Management: Supporting disaster recovery tests, developing procedures for system recovery, and identifying single points of failure to mitigate risks.

    IT Support and Operational Experience: Previous experience in an IT Support role, providing operational support.
  • Job Scheduling and Automation Tools: High-level experience with one or more job scheduling and automation tools.
  • File Transfer Protocol Administration: Experience with both standard and secure file transfer protocol administration.
  • Script and Batch Changes: Experience in designing, testing, and implementing script and batch changes through development partitions into production under robust change management processes.
