Full Job Description

As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Inch Cape Offshore Windfarm Project. This role will focus on delivering key infrastructure and desktop support for all project-specific business functions, including servers, laptops, networking, cloud solutions and employee onboard/offboarding. The position involves design, deployment, and management of systems, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining smooth IT operations.,

  • Provide robust support and administration for Microsoft 365 and Azure services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Install, configure, and manage Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Windows Server OS, Windows 11, Active Directory, Group Policy).
  • Lead and manage project-related IT processes, including onboarding and offboarding of users, with an emphasis on improvement and automation.
  • Ensure project-related IT systems comply with security standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.
  • Deploy and administer software and systems, including Microsoft 365 (Teams/OneDrive/SharePoint).
  • Document system configurations, issues, resolutions, and generate regular reports on IT support and project progress.
  • Collaborate with the IT Team with the delivery of IT projects specific to the assigned project.

  • In-depth knowledge of IT products, including Windows Server, Core Infrastructure Server Hardware, Virtualization, Exchange/Office 365, Azure, and security solutions (Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Encryption, MFA Technologies).
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft platforms, automation tools (PowerShell), Storage Area Networks, backup systems, and networking (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Proven ability to identify and implement system improvements and automation solutions.
