Java/DB Developer| 12 Months (Inside IR35)| Hybrid (Glasgow)
Harvey Nash's Client is recruiting for a Java/DB Developer on a 12 month contract.
Main Responsibilities
- Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in Java, capable of working with geographically dispersed teams in a dynamic and rapidly evolving project environment.
- Manage Java Springboot applications and handle daily DocuSign-related queries from enterprise-level engagements.
- Extensive hands-on experience in Java with Springboot and database development is essential. The candidate should be able to work independently and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Innovate, build strong processes, and create and maintain easy-to-navigate processes for access and reporting.
- Ensure operational readiness related to e-signing and digital transformation by delivering on business objectives.
- Partner with businesses and other technology units to gather and document business processes and requirements, bringing expertise in e-signature and digital transformation.
- Develop, maintain, and support DocuSign integrations with firmwide applications, requiring knowledge of Java and the DocuSign e-Signature platform.
- Test software designs and solutions, including debugging and troubleshooting.
- Provide assistance and guidance during QA and UAT testing phases to ensure appropriate test cases and determine the root cause and best resolution of escalated issues.
- Drive the adoption of eSign technology and digital workflow processes, including the DocuSign initiative.
- Facilitate user training sessions.
- Manage regional operational readiness processes for core operations elements of global implementations, including testing strategy, data integrity, and training plans.
- Provide SME-level support to cross-functional teams to identify and resolve problems, identify key risks and issues, and manage appropriate mitigation plans. Ensure timely escalation with appropriate detail to stakeholders.
- Aid in the preparation and review of standard reporting of project/programme progress in a manner appropriate to the audience level and needs.
Key Skills
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience as Software Developer using Java/J2EE with Springboot, Frameworks & Web/Micro services.
* Strong experience in databases (Postgres/ DB2) in system design, PL/SQL and performance optimisation.
* Integrations with REST and SOAP APIs
* Messaging middleware such as Kafka is a plus.
* Computer Science knowledge (data structures & algorithms)
* Should be comfortable with Unix / Linux, shell-scripting, Excel.
* Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyse and understand data.
* Strong knowledge of software development and the system implementation life cycle is a must.
* Willingness to learn DocuSign.
* Service now, ALM, JIRA conversant
* Strong SDLC understanding: Waterfall & Agile
* Cloud experience is desirable.
