About the role:

JGW+ is looking for a passionate and dedicated Youth Learning Mentor to join our team. In this role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where young learners can thrive. You will support learners in achieving their qualifications, manage classroom behaviour, and provide tailored one-on-one and group assistance.

You may be required to travel to different centres to support learners.

ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.

What we need from you:

Experience of working with challenging, disengaged learners
Experience of working with young people with Additional Learning needs and/or Learning Disability/Difficulty.
Youth Work or Teaching Assistant/teaching Qualification or equivalent (or willing to work towards one as condition of employment)
Minimum of 5 GCSE (or equivalent) grade C or above
Ability to develop others
Team player with ability to work on own initiative
Creative & passionate for training/learning
