Full Job Description
Six year old boy with autism looking for personal assistant to help him get out and about in Penicuik. Personal Assistant employed to help child go for a walk, go to the playground, swimming and help with other sporting activities.
No experience necessary but willingness to learn how to communicate effectively with the child and get to know him is important.
Essential that the postholder is a member of the protection of vulnerable groups (PVG) scheme or willing to join.
Rate of pay £12.45 per hour plus approximately £1.50 per hour to take account of holiday pay. The employer will operate a rolled up holiday pay scheme of 12.07%.
The post is for five hours per week for 42 weeks of the year. The ten weeks support not needed is for eight weeks during school summer holidays and two weeks over the Christmas period. The five hours will consist of two 2.5 hours shifts.
