Where quality and service are at the heart of everything, we do at Taymouth Castle our Joiners are responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures, fixtures, furniture, and fittings throughout the castle and estate. Your craftsmanship will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of quality and the overall experience of our members and their guests throughout the club, including guest activities and their homes as required, staff housing, and buildings.

Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will help maintain the elegance and functionality of Taymouth Castle. You will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all wooden elements are in excellent condition, contributing to a luxurious and welcoming environment for our guests.

You ensure the completion of all planned preventative maintenance, repairs, and fault investigations on time and to meet the expected high standards associated with the club and as directed by facilities and operations management at various locations throughout the estate.

Responding swiftly to any emergency call outs wherever they may be located within the estate. Fault rectification while monitoring and ensuring the correct operation and proper use of all assets, equipment, and systems. Coaching and assisting the operational team.

Monitoring the use and inventory of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment. While maintaining excellent documentation Work Order reports, with the aid of photographs and a detailed description of works conducted and anything that is remaining.

Co-ordinating the shutdown and start-ups of utilities when conditions necessitate. Communicating accurately and effectively with department managers, colleagues and when required members and their guests.

Following procedures for the use of Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance and Standard Operating Procedures. Challenging SOPs as part of our continuous improvement strategy; safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.

Maintaining work vehicles (conduct pre-use checks and regularly clean as necessary). Other duties and special projects as and when assigned.

Proven experience with a minimum level 2 Diploma in Bench Joinery or Carpentry and joinery. Or T Level in on-site construction. A graduate of an accredited technical school or apprenticeship.

Hands-on experience with a knowledge of safe work practices, procedures, tools, equipment, and techniques used in the trades. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously in-order to meet deadlines. Working effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule to produce accurate results.

Navigating mobile applications for reporting and recording tasks. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal and computer skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff including management. Working irregular/extended hours; including nights, weekends when required.

UK driving license is essential. This role requires frequent bending, kneeling and the lifting and carrying of equipment and machinery throughout the day at various locations within the club both indoors and outdoors.
