Position:                   

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Joiner based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

What you will do:

An opportunity has arisen within the Estates Department for a suitably experienced Joiner. Reporting directly to the Building Supervisor you will be part of a team responsible for a range of building related planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Based at Ayrshire Central Hospital, you will also cover all community based properties within the North Sector.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

A City & Guilds apprenticeship in an appropriate building trade related discipline is essential. Previous experience of undertaking building maintenance work within a hospital environment would be an advantage.

You should be able to demonstrate versatility and experience on a range of building maintenance work task schedules in addition to being an effective communicator.

You will also be required to take part in an on call rota and be able to work at other hospitals within Ayrshire to meet the demands of the service. Due to the requirement to participate in an on call rota it is desirable that the successful applicant should live no more than 30 minutes travelling time from the hospital.

Hours:

Hours: 37 per week (0800 to 1630 Monday to Thursday and 0800 to 1300 Friday)

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

A driving license is essential for this post.
