Reporting to the Principal Software Engineer, work will typically be undertaken with the guidance and support of more senior team members specialising in this area - typical activities include:

• The analysis and exploration of new business needs with key stakeholders
• Coding and Implementation of changes using RPGILE, SQL
• Testing, Code Review and release
• Resolving problems and Incidents
  
  Full training will be provided for this role, but a relevant education or experience in software engineering is essential. To be successful, candidates should have a degree or HNC level education, or equivalent experience, demonstrating high numeracy and analytical skills. Proficiency in email systems and Microsoft Office is required. Candidates should be self-aware, adaptable, and positive, eager to grow in a rapidly evolving environment. Quick learning ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work are crucial. The role requires effective communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, quickly building rapport with customers. It would be advantageous to have knowledge of any of the following technologies: SQL and Relational Databases, GIT, Azure,Rest Api's, Stored Procedures, Programming Experience. It would also be ideal if you have experience of working in a
technology role, such as a service desk, or software development.
