Full Job Description
The Justice Worker role is located in the Justice Social Work Service and is responsible for the management of community based orders imposed by the Courts. This role primarily involves the management of Unpaid Work Orders and Structured Deferred Sentences, whilst also providing support to service users and Social Workers. Across the Justice Social Work Service the Justice Worker role is also involved in supporting business at the Fife Courts and being involved in other activities that enhance and develop the Justice Social Work Service.,

The role also requires the ability to lone work and the ability to work from a busy office. If required the option to work from home on occasion is available in agreement with the Team Manager. The role provides opportunities for the successful candidate to undertake further training in the role as part of their professional development. The Person The successful candidate should have experience in case and risk management. This will include experience of joint working with other professionals and services to improve outcomes for people, whilst understanding and working to national standards and data protection guidelines. Knowledge of risk assessing and how this impacts on service delivery is a crucial element of this post. The successful candidate should be able to evidence an understanding of the complexities of managing risk whilst supporting individuals. Skills in report writing are essential as the Justice Worker role requires writing reports for the Court, the successful candidate should be able to write reports that are factual and concise. The ability to motivate, advise and listen are key communication skills for the role as the successful candidate will be engaging individuals with varying motivation and communication needs. The successful candidate should have experience of empowering others to make positive lifestyle changes, promoting equality and diversity.
