Full Job Description

Please note this is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00.

  • Working to the UKAS 17025:2017 Laboratory Standards.
  • Registration of agro samples within the laboratory management system.
  • Adhering to documented procedures, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day
  • Maintain turnaround time at >95%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.
  • Undertaking all tasks within sample processing to a high quality standard as required.
  • Responsible for ensuring that UK health and safety legislation is maintained and helping to ensure that the working environment is kept in a clean and tidy manner with due attention to the careful maintenance of all laboratory fittings and equipment.
  • To assist through operating best practice in order to meet the requirements of the UKAS accreditation standard.
  • Maintain a clean as you go mentality.
  • Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of the business, to help deliver a safe, efficient and high quality operation within sample reception to facilitate the analytical process which follows.
  • To help create a welcoming working environment, where quality, efficiency and health and safety underpin the core values of the site, which delivers a sustainable staff experience and customer service.

    This is a great opportunity to join Eurofins Agro Testing in our state of the art facilities in Edinburgh. The purpose of this role is to complete, to the required quality standards, the preparation and extraction of samples including but not limited to; soil, animal feed and organic waste.
