Full Job Description

Eden Scott are proud to be supporting GreenPower with the appointment of a Land Assistant. GreenPower is a renewable energy company, developing, constructing, owning and operating wind, hydro, solar, and green hydrogen projects across the UK. Most assets are owned by GreenPower, with some projects jointly owned with investment funds, and others managed on behalf of third party clients.


Role and Responsibilities:


As part of our growth plans we are seeking additional resource to work with our land management team. GreenPower employs a highly skilled team of technical, financial and commercial experts committed to high quality ethics and working standards. This role involves collaborating with those teams throughout the renewable energy project consenting process and afterwards when we operate the sites. You will assist in securing land agreements for wind, solar, and green hydrogen projects. Key responsibilities include assisting land managers in identifying and engaging with landowners, title searches, assisting in negotiating Heads of Terms, and overseeing the preparation and registration of land agreements, such as leases and wayleaves.


Key criteria:


• A recognised qualification in Land, Legal, or related subject e.g. paralegal, conveyancing executive.

• Experience working on property related transactions.

• Knowledge of renewable energy project management.

• Competence in searching and dealing with Registers of Scotland.

• Familiarity with work of land agents and legal teams.

• Confident working with Microsoft Office.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS


Salary:

Negotiable, depending on experience.

Contracted hours:

37.5 hours per week. Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.

From time to time, you may be required to work outwith and/or in excess of your normal working hours. Remuneration for such additional hours is already contained within the salary.

Location of work:

This post will be based at The E-Centre, Cooperage Way, Alloa, FK10 3LP. GreenPower operates a hybrid working policy of minimum 2 days in office per week.

Annual leave:

This post carries a holiday entitlement of 25 days personal leave, plus 12 statutory holidays / office closure days per annum.

Sick pay:

Occupational sick pay available.

Pension:

GreenPower operates and auto-enrolment pension scheme with the Employer contribution of 3% of gross salary. This is subject to pension auto-enrolment rules and therefore a small contribution may also be required from employees depending on your applicable salary. Salary sacrifice available.

Private health insurance (with the option to add partner / family members on at a cost). Please note private health insurance is a benefit in kind and therefore subject to tax.

The post-holder will be employed by GreenPower Developments Ltd.

Offer of employment:

An offer of appointment will be made subject to two satisfactory references and eligibility to work in the UK.

Review:

Performance will be reviewed initially after 3 months and annually thereafter.
