We're looking for a Land Manager based in the Central Belt of Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayrshire, Falkirk, Lothian, Fife) to join our Aggreko Energy Services (AES) team. At Aggreko Energy Services we are accelerating the energy transition by developing, owning and operating energy infrastructure that delivers clean, reliable, economic energy for our customers. Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, you will be tasked with identifying suitable land for our energy projects and negotiating with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to secure all necessary development rights and consents. These agreements must be on competitive terms and free from restrictions that could impede development or project financing. You will stay abreast of industry trends, market values, regulations, and best practices related to land rights acquisition and renewable energy project development. This newly created role is pivotal to the successful implementation of our renewable energy
initiatives, and success in this role will significantly contribute to Aggreko Energy Services (AES).,

  • Formulate and implement strategies and process for identifying potential land sites suitable for renewable energy projects, including conducting land feasibility assessments, land referencing and appropriate diligence. Support M&A activity by leading on the property due diligence of deals.


  • Produce land rights budgets and programming to support project planning.


  • Negotiate lease agreements, easements, and other land rights with landowners, in collaboration with legal and finance teams and other internal stakeholders, to support the needs of the new renewable energy project, and in doing so, secure the best value for the project and ensure AES internal red lines are maintained.


  • Liaise with local planning authorities, environmental agencies and other relevant stakeholders to address concerns and obtain necessary consents, permits and approvals.


  • Manage relationships with landowners and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, addressing issues and ensuring ongoing compliance with agreements.

    Extensive experience in a land/right acquisition role supporting energy developments, with good knowledge of the land requirements of energy projects


  • Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations.


  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.


  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
