Full Job Description

Delighted to be partnering with a SaaS Software Business who are going through their next phase of growth and are looking to add a Lead Software Engineer to help drive forward new and existing projects.


As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be an experienced individual contributor leading within a team or domain area. Your influence will extend beyond your immediate team, impacting the broader business. You will leverage your strengths to help your team achieve their quarterly goals and contribute to the overall success of the company.


They need someone with a strong background in client-facing, hands-on software development and senior/lead experience. Someone who can take ownership of delivering high complexity and business critical projects. Although there will be no line management duties with this role, you will be expected lead from a Technical perspective, mentoring and leading other Engineers in the team.


Experience


  • Extensive experience in full-stack development using frameworks like Node, React, Next.js, TypeScript, Express, GraphQL, State Management, message queues, databases, and APIs.
  • Experience with DevOps pipelines, UI libraries, API design, and payment gateways.
  • Public Cloud development, particularly AWS, and experience with SaaS vendors.
  • Experience with large-scale scheduling applications is an advantage.
  • Multi-channel digital deliveries across iOS, Android, and Web are a plus but not required.
  • Past projects, experience, or coding assessments in similar fields are highly valued.

Please note, this is a remote position but must be based in the Scotland to meet up every now and again when needed - potentially once a month. Need to have full rights to work in the UK.
