Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Nurse to be appointed on a fixed term secondment to support professional nursing leadership across mental health and learning disability nursing in NHS Tayside.

The post holder will be a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Directorate team with work assigned by the Associate Nurse Director. You should be a Registered Nurse with current registration on Parts 3 or 5 / RMN or RNLD of the UK NMC Register. You should have high standards of professional values, practice and performance with commitment to drive forward professional performance and clinical practice; quality standards of person centred, safe and effective care; nursing workforce planning and development. A sound knowledge of clinical and care governance is essential. You will be required to work closely and in partnership with the Heads of Service and Lead Clinicians to advise on, review and support the nursing elements of service improvements and developments and ways of working. This will involve working across professional and organisational boundaries, in partnership and in collaboration with others including service users, carers, health professionals, social work, voluntary
sector staff, and local higher education providers.
