Full Job Description

NHS GGC have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as the Lead Nurse for General Medicine based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.

You will work within the South Sector Medical Specialities Management Team providing clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and midwifery staff within areas of medical specialities which includes, Diabetes & Endocrine, Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology and General Medicine. Ensuring the objectives and quality standards of the following strands of NHS Scotland's National Quality Strategy, National Nursing and Midwifery Quality Assurance Framework and any future national initiatives are achieved.

It is essential you are a Registered Nurse, Nurse/Midwife or Midwife with substantial clinical, operational and line management experience gained as a SCN/Lead CNS. You should also have a Degree/ supplemented by specialist training or equivalent experience in this area of responsibility to masters level.

A recognised Leadership/ Management qualification and/or equivalent experience would be beneficial.

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 08.00-16.00 with potential to cover weekends as required as a senior leader.
