The post holder will provide assistance to the Care at Home Officer to support and supervise a team of Senior Health & Social Care Support Workers within the community to deliver a high standard of holistic care to individuals and their families/carers. 

The post holder will provide day to day professional support to the Senior Health & Social Care Support Workers, carry out practice observations, 1-2-1 supervision and assist staff in ensuring compliance with mandatory training and professional registration. 

The post holder will undertake regular service user reviews for the in-house Care at Home Service, independent sector providers and the wider integrated team and assist in the delivery of a person-centred Care at Home service to meet the assessed need and personal outcomes of those referred to the service in line with the Health and Social Care Standards and Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) codes.  The post holder will work within the wider integrated multi disciplinary team.

In order to be able to carry out the duties of this post effectively and safely, candidates will be able to provide evidence of the following. Experience of working in a Health & Social Care setting; SVQ3 qualification in Health & Social Care; a good understanding of general office practice and procedure, excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and respect confidentiality.

The post holder must have a full, clean driving licence and access to their own vehicle

This is a permanent full-time post of 37 hours to be worked in accordance with service requirements.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
