Full Job Description
This appointment will be instrumental in the development of a new service line (Measured Digital Surveys) for Thomas & Adamson. As such, this is a great opportunity for an ambitious and motivated professional in the surveying market to join the business., 1. Department Development:
- Lead the establishment and growth of the new survey department.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the department.
- Oversee the acquisition/leasing and maintenance of survey equipment and technology.
2. Survey Operations:
- Manage and execute laser surveys, point cloud surveys, drone-measured surveys, and time-lapse surveys.
- Ensure all surveys are conducted to the highest standards of accuracy and quality, with experience and ability to deliver outputs to LOD 200 - 500.
- Analyse and interpret survey data to produce detailed reports and deliverables.
3. Business Development and Proposal and Bid Writing:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the surveying sector.
- Liaise with internal colleagues to identify cross-selling opportunities from internal departments (both within T&A and the wider Egis group).
- Prepare and submit detailed proposals and bids for survey projects.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and presentations.
4. Contract Management:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients and subcontractors/suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and industry regulations.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Surveyor to spearhead the development of a new department. This department will focus on deploying advanced survey technologies including laser surveys, point cloud surveys, drone-measured surveys, and time-lapse surveys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying with an understanding of business development, proposal/bid writing, and contract management.
