Full Job Description

Purpose of Role : As Weir migrates to its new product operating model, and to provide support for our strategic initiatives, we are building out a Lean Agile Centre of Excellence within our new WBS organisation.

This team will facilitate the adoption of SAFe practices, training and coaching teams and individuals and working with other leaders to drive continuous improvement.

This role profile is focused on the LACE Team Leader, who will be responsible for leading the LACE team in the implementation, adoption and operationalisation of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) v6 across the organisation.

The LACE team itself will include LACE Coaches; LACE Analysts; and Scrum Masters and they will work together to provide the necessary support to drive the adoption and maturity of SAFe practices across our product portfolio.

As such, the team leader needs to bring a balance of strong and inspiring leadership, combined with direct experience of implementing SAFe successfully across a global business.

In common with other LACE team roles, they will be a passionate advocate for Lean-Agile principles and a catalyst for change, driving the organization towards operational excellence and customer-centric innovation., Strategic Implementation : Drive the strategic roll-out of SAFe practices across all levels of the organisation, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Leadership : Provide leadership and guidance to the LACE team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and learning.

Training & Coaching : Develop and support delivery of SAFe training sessions. Coach teams and leaders in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.

Change Management : Lead change initiatives to enhance organisational agility, working with stakeholders to manage transitions effectively.

Performance Measurement : Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of SAFe practices, LACE team performance and report on progress to senior management.

Collaboration : Collaborate with product managers, agile coaches, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to product development.

Continuous Improvement : Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging teams to iterate and evolve their practices.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

Direct experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) v6, including implementing and managing SAFe at the portfolio, program, and team levels in a global context

Strong understanding of Lean-Agile principles and Product Operating Models.

Extensive experience in coaching and mentoring teams and individuals in Agile and SAFe practices

Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

Ability to coach and mentor at all organizational levels.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification preferred.
