Lockheed Martin UK - Strategic Systems (LMUK SS) is the single contractor providing specialist Waterfront In-Service Support to one of the Royal Navy's Submarine Programs. The company provides the Ministry of Defence (MoD) with safe, efficient and responsive support. LMUK SS, as part of the ABL Alliance with AWE and Babcock, is also responsible for the management of operations at RNAD Coulport. Looking to the future, LMUK SS supports the joint US and UK submarine design efforts., We're looking for a Learning & Development Administrator to work as an integral member of the training department based in Faslane, Helensburgh. This role benefits from a flexible working pattern including 4-day week or 9/75 fortnight providing every other Friday off. The Learning & Development Administrator provides an essential output for the training department. There are two key elements to the role: Provide support in developing a Training Plan on an annual basis which will then be used a basis to deconflict training and the production and operational activities. Produce metrics for management that will provide lead indicators highlighting when there is risk to the achievement of a Suitably Qualified and Experienced workforce prior to the requirement date. The second key element of their role is to ensure that all training has been completed and recorded in an accurate and timely manner. Duties include:-

  • Booking of resources, classrooms, media and preparing training material prior to delivery
  • Maintaining various training spreadsheets and compiling training course reports
  • Processing and placing purchase orders, obtaining quotations for training courses and filing all paperwork
  • Answering incoming phone calls and enquiries and monitoring group mailboxes
  • Completing visitor access requests for instructors and course attendees
  • Completing general training administration tasks as directed by the L&D Associate Manager

  • Proven experience in an Administration, or Planning-related role
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be agile and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Highly organised and pragmatic approach and able to deliver to set deadlines
  • Holds high level of professionalism at all times, ensuring high standards
