Full Job Description

Objectives:

  • To assist the L&D team to schedule and deliver learning programmes and initiatives for all Shelter staff and volunteers using a range of methods, e.g. face to face, online, webinar or digital learning.
  • To support the wider L&OD team and directorate with the delivery of key projects to ensure our culture, equity, inclusion and organisational development priorities are met.
  • Assist with feedback and continual assessment of the effectiveness of L&D initiatives.
  • To assist with ensuring online learning and other digital channels (video content & internal intranet) are current, relevant and effective.

We do this through organisational development and learning, volunteer engagement and development, internal communications and involving those individuals with lived experience in our work. This role sits within the Learning & Organisational Development Team (L&OD), who ensure Shelter people and teams have the capability to meet the organisation's strategic objectives, through learning coordination and delivery, business partnering and organisational development initiatives. The team is led by the Head of L&OD and is comprised of L&D Coordinators (x2), L&D Officer, and L&D Manager, as well as the Organisational Development Business Partners (x4) and the Apprenticeships and L&OD Projects Officer.

    1. Strong administration skillset (L&D/HR/D&I background advantageous) 2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 3. Comfortable with generating and understanding data. 4. An interest in course facilitation and learning about different tools to design and curate digital learning. As well as the following behaviours:
