Full Job Description

You will have an essential role in the school, encouraging students with Special Educational Needs to become more independent learners. You will help these students overcome their barriers to learning, so that they can achieve their potential. You will undertake specified work with individuals or groups as directed by the SENDCo and Assistant SENDCo's., You will work alongside Teaching staff and be deployed in a range of classrooms, either working with individual students or supporting small groups. You will need to have a flexible style and approach, with the ability to build effective relationships with both students and teaching staff, accompanied by the ability to be proactive and use your initiative., The opportunity to work within an excellent team environment with the desire to enhance the education experience of all our students.

Good literacy and numeracy skills. Either Level 2 - GCSE grade '4' or above in English and Maths
Strong communication skills
Experience of working with young people is essential - within a school setting would be an advantage but not a requirement.
