Legal Administrator / Secretary – Employment Team

circa £26,000 - £30,000

Glasgow / hybrid

 

Rae McCabe Associates is working with this leading Scottish Law Firm, recruiting a professional and experienced Legal PA / Administrator to support a busy Partner and fee earners in the Employment Team. 

 

The post holder is an integral member of the team with the role existing to provide proactive PA and administrative support. The firm offers a modern and progressive environment, and the team are inclusive, welcoming and supportive.

 

Hybrid working is offered and so it is likely that time will be split between home and office.

 

The successful candidate will have experience as an administrator or secretary gained from a similar legal environment, as well as energy, a friendly disposition and positive attitude. 

 

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Managing diaries, including essential employment tribunals deadlines
  • Arranging internal and external meetings and booking travel
  • Liaising with fee earners and prioritising work appropriately
  • Producing letters, reports and documents
  • Minute taking
  • Assisting with project work and business development activities
  • Assisting with billing and fee preparation
  • Ensuring general organisation and smooth running of matters, including improving existing procedures

 

 

Essential criteria:

 

  • Strong PA / Administrative skills gained from a legal or professional services environment
  • Employment or litigation experience is desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a professional and friendly manner
  • Strong MS Office skills
