Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal secretary to join our busy Employment Law team

Responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with lawyers to identify their work commitments and prioritise work accordingly
  • Diary management, including essential tribunal deadlines
  • Arranging meetings and appointments both internally and externally
  • Booking travel and meetings
  • Audio and copy typing for complex and confidential documents (typing will also be supported by the Document Production team)
  • Managing production of documents
  • Handle client telephone enquiries in a polite & professional manner within the agreed timescales at all levels
  • Production of, and support with, fees
  • General administration
  • Participate in projects, including liaising throughout the firm
  • Helping with department reports
  • Minute taking
  • Assisting with client set up protocols and compliance with money laundering regulations

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Experience of dealing directly with clients by telephone at all levels
  • Legal secretarial or administrative experience required
  • Employment or litigation experience preferred but not essential
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Attention to detail
