Full Job Description

Position:Legal Secretary/Paralegal (Property)
Location:Edinburgh
Salary:25,000-35,000 DOE

Pertempsare seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary or Paralegal with property experience to join our client.

Responsibilities:

- Drafting, formatting, and amending legal documents and correspondence.
- Managing property transactions, including searches, registrations, and liaising with relevant parties.
- Handling client and matter opening/closing processes, ensuring compliance with AML and conflict check procedures.
- Coordinating diaries, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel for the team.
- Assisting with billing, invoicing, and general financial administration.
- Filing, scanning, and maintaining organised electronic and paper records.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing queries.

About You:

- Prior experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal, ideally withinproperty
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a professional telephone manner.
- Be familiar with property transaction processes, including Land Registry submissions and SDLT forms.
- Work well under pressure, meeting deadlines with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Show a willingness to learn and adapt, with a client-focused approach.
