Litigation Paralegal – junior and senior level

up to circa £36,000 + excellent benefits package

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal to join an award-winning General Insurance team within a leading international law firm, renowned for its highly acclaimed and successful Litigation business.

Opportunities exist for Paralegals and Senior Paralegals Personal Injury and Catastrophic Loss teams.

You will act for household name insurers and provide high quality advice on a wide range of injury or fraud claims.

Based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, with the option to work from home too, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and support leading litigation solicitors / partners with enviable reputations who are without doubt at the top of their game. 

The role will see you managing your own caseload of files as well as supporting fee earners working on more complex cases.

Typical duties:

·      Ensuring cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible

·      Working with and maintaining relationships with long standing clients

·      Understanding and managing cases

·      Liaising with third parties, Counsel and medical experts

·      Drafting letters of instruction, requests and Instructions to Counsel

·      Preparing briefing notes and action plans

Essential criteria:

·      Experience of working in an injury / casualty environment

·      Ability to manage a busy caseload

·      Ideally experience of defender litigation, however this is not essential

·      Pragmatic and organised approach with the ability to handle sensitive information and cases

·      Excellent communication skills and team player

·      Strong IT ability
