Job Title: LAT (locum appointment dental core training)

Department: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Base: September 2024 September 2025 Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, St Johns Hospital

Applications are welcome for the above Fixed Term(40 hours per week) post based in St Johns Hospital


We are seeking a full time LAT colleague to fill a vacant post available within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department until September 2025. The successful candidate will join our team of 6 Consultants, Speciality Dentists, Specialty Doctors, Prosthetists and Specialty and Core training grade staff and will have the skills to complement those already existing in the department.

This is a busy Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit with a dedicated ward. Post holders will gain experience in the management of oncology, trauma and facial deformity in outpatient clinics and operating lists. The post holder will gain experience in the management of oncology, trauma and facial deformity in outpatient clinics and operating lists. The post also offers experience of dento-alveolar surgery under general anaesthesia, local anaesthesia, and intravenous sedation. A medical FY1 doctor supports patient ward care.
