An exciting opportunity exists for a locum Consultant Plastic Surgeon, with sub-specialty interest in Breast Reconstruction to join the team within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clydes Plastic Surgery Unit. The Plastic Surgery Unit currently has 23 Consultants and provides the entire spectrum of plastic and reconstructive subspecialty services excluding craniofacial surgery and has a large workload of general plastic surgery. This Unit is internationally recognised and runs a variety of teaching courses every year. The appointee is expected to have a main sub-specialist interest in Breast Reconstruction and have experience in successfully managing all types of breast reconstruction.
The successful candidate will be based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI), and will have a clearly defined job plan consisting of outpatient clinics and theatres associated with the Breast Reconstruction service.
Applicants must have full GMC Registration and a licence to practise and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
