Applications are invited for a locum Consultant General and Respiratory Physician at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, which is based in the Clyde Sector of NHSGGC. This is to provide cover during a period of maternity leave.

The Department of Respiratory Medicine based at the RAH is linked into the wider Respiratory team across Clyde Sector (including Inverclyde Royal Hospital and the Vale of Leven Hospital). In total the team comprises 10.5 WTE Consultants across the Clyde Sector. The Clyde Sector team provides a general Respiratory Service as well as a number of sub-specialities including lung cancer, sleep/ ventilation, severe asthma, interstitial lung disease, pleural disease and pulmonary embolism.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and dedicated team at RAH for a period of time.

The RAH team is well supported with Respiratory Nurse Specialists, a Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist and Specialist Respiratory Physiologists.

The job plan is full time, 10 PAs, though this may be open to negotiation. The RAH Consultant team strongly advocates team working and support to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the RAH/ Vale of Leven medical receiving, on call and weekend rota
