As the official catering partner for The Scottish Event Campus (SEC), SEC Food are excited to be expanding our exceptional logistics team!

A bit about our venue⦠the Campus consists of three core venues â the OVO Hydro, SEC Centre and SEC Armadillo, each providing a truly unique experience for our guests.

At SEC Food, our logistics team is essential in ensuring that our culinary operations run smoothly and efficiently across all events. We handle the comprehensive logistics involved in managing food and beverage supplies, from procurement to delivery and storage.

Our responsibilities include coordinating the timely delivery of ingredients and supplies, managing inventory levels to meet the demands of high-volume events, and ensuring that all food and beverage items are stored and handled according to health and safety standards. We work closely with our culinary and service teams to plan and execute logistics for large-scale catering, ensuring that everything is in place to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

By addressing any logistical challenges promptly, we support the seamless operation of SEC Glasgowâs food services, contributing to the success and satisfaction of every event.,

  • Working alongside our current logistics team members to provide support to all events across the campus.

  • Responsible for checking both quantity and quality of goods before, during and after moving the product and ensuring they are ready ahead of service.

  • Set up of all areas ahead of service.

  • Identifying logistical problems and planning appropriate solutions.

  • Overseeing the receipt and delivery of goods.

  • Supervising suppliers and delivery drivers while onsite ensuring they follow venue health and safety procedures.

  • Assisting with stock checks.

  • Working alongside the Operations team to provide support based on specific requirements.

  • To always wear PPE correctly

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Health and Safety and Food Safety at work procedures and ensure these are always followed

  • Maintain good security of products

  • Keep breakages and wastage to a minimum.

    Willingness to learn

  • Flexible availability

  • Positive can-do attitude

  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg regularly

  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

  • Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations

  • Clear and concise communication in person and on radio
