Full Job Description
Anderson Knight is currently looking for a Luxury Senior Buyer to join one of our clients which is a 5-star luxury hotel.
The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality goods and services that meet the hotel’s luxury standards. This role requires strategic procurement skills, market insight, and an eye for quality to support the hotel’s reputation for excellence and its operational requirements. The Senior Buyer will work closely with internal teams to understand product needs and lead cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute sourcing strategies for high-end hotel products, including food and beverage, furnishings, amenities, and operating supplies.
· Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with suppliers who can meet the hotel’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
· Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and agreements with vendors, focusing on long-term partnerships and reliability.
· Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
· Drive cost-saving initiatives across purchasing categories without compromising quality.
· Track and monitor procurement spend to stay within budgetary guidelines and improve cost efficiency.
· Regularly review market trends and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions.
· Collaborate with the Operations and Inventory teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishments.
· Manage lead times, inventory levels, and delivery schedules to meet hotel demands.
· Work with logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to minimise disruption to hotel operations.
· Liaise with various departments (F&B, housekeeping, spa, front office) to understand specific product needs and ensure alignment with operational goals.
· Support new project initiatives, including renovations, seasonal changes, and events, Stay informed on luxury market trends, new product developments, and innovations within the hospitality industry.
· Recommend product enhancements and upgrades to stay competitive and exceed guest expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on hospitality, luxury goods, or a related industry.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with luxury standards, brand expectations, and high-quality product sourcing.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
