We are thrilled to announce an immediate opening for an accomplished and dedicated M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our clients’ esteemed team at one of the UK's foremost privately-owned specialist building services and mechanical/electrical solutions providers.
Role Overview: As the M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the project management team, ensuring the successful financial management and control of mechanical and electrical projects within the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake accurate cost analysis for M&E projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure cost-effective project execution.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts.
- Manage change orders, variations, and claims effectively.
- Monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor in the construction contractor sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their associated costs.
- Proficiency in cost estimating, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
