Maintenance Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager for our prestige heritage hotels in Dundee, The Staybridge Suites and Hotel Indigo.
The Staybridge Suites, 85 beautiful self-contained suites and Hotel Indigo with 102 design led boutique rooms. The 85 cover Daisy Tasker restaurant attracting our internal and external guests.
What will I be doing?
In the role of Maintenance Manager, you will be a leader with confidence, strong work ethic, dedication and a 'whatever it takes' attitude to get the job done, whilst helping our team members thrive and help our guests make the most of their stays. To assume the day-to-day responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of both hotels' preventive and reactive maintenance within Hotel Indigo & Staybridge Suites., + Ensuring that your department labour is utilised to cover 7 days per week.
+ Monitor business levels, using this information to ensure planned maintenance can be carried out effectively.
+ Display a pro-active and leading role in terms of service, culture, development, team image, systems, procedures, and skills development.
+ Ensure constructive team communication with emphasis on structured training and development to improve service standards.
+ Co-ordinate and control with initiative all issues relating to costs, expenses, wastage, breakages, security, and stock control.
+ Ensure procedures are in place across all functions in line with Brand audit and Q.E standards.
+ Taking ownership of health & safety within the hotels. Fire safety, crisis management, compliance
+ Overall responsibility for ensuring planned preventative maintenance is followed as per company standard.
+ Full contractor and service provider management
+ To host monthly health & safety meetings, ensure follow ups are made.
+ Pro-actively review business levels on a daily/weekly basis to ensure correct staffing and maintenance cover.
+ Relay information and ideas to the General Manager for the enhancement of customer expectation.
+ To carry out appraisals/job chats as per the company appraisal system.
+ To undertake special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine but within the overall scope of the position at the request of the Operations Manager or General Manager.
Self-Management
+ Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook.
+ Actively participate in training and development programmes and maximise opportunities for self-development.
+ Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards.
+ Demonstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations.
+ Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about all Cycas Hospitality hotels in your region.
+ Be forthcoming with new ideas & initiatives that can enhance the efficiency & safety of the hotels.
Health Safety & Security
+ Demonstrate a good understanding and awareness of policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.
+ Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are reported in line with the company procedures.
+ Ensure regular fire alarm tests & evacuations are carried out as per policy.
+ Be fully responsible for the buildings Fire Safety including scheduled fire alarm tests & planned evacuations.
