Full Job Description

As Maintenance Manager, you will play a vital role in delivering a great guest experience by working on your own initiative to ensure that the hotel is always operating at the highest standards. You will manage all proactive and reactive maintenance, external contractors, and hotels teams in line with the departmental budget. You will support HOD's to ensure all teams are correctly trained in the use of equipment and health & safety standards within the hotel. You will also manage all aspects of your own maintenance team, including training and development.

  • A degree or diploma in engineering, electrical or mechanical engineering, construction, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM), or Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) or other Industry Recognised Certifications
  • Skills:
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills, as you will need to communicate with hotel staff and guests
  • Organisational and problem-solving skills to manage maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and troubleshoot issues
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience:
  • Several years of experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • Experience managing a team of maintenance technicians and coordinating with other hotel departments
  • Experience developing and implementing maintenance programs and procedures
