Full Job Description

Here at Fresh we are looking to appoint a Maintenance Technician to be responsible for the general maintenance of our 588-bed student accommodation building, Collegelands in Glasgow. This role allows you to take control of your own schedule, plan your workloads and take accountability for the maintenance around our modern social spaces in a fantastic location in the heart of Glasgow.

The position offers 37.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm you'll be competent with minor electrical maintenance as you'll be responsible for the installation of white goods, carrying out visual PAT testing, changing plugs and fuses, emergency lighting checks and replacing lamps and light ballasts.

Additionally, you will undertake minor reactive repairs and carrying out planned maintenance works which includes painting and decorating, health and safety checks, grounds maintenance, gardening, and refuse & recycling management. As we work in our residents' living spaces, you'll need to be a good communicator who always demonstrates professionalism and can ensure discretion and diplomacy when needed, including maintaining confidentiality regards recording sensitive information.

We're looking for an individual who is comfortable planning their own workloads daily, has excellent communication skills and is confident in their ability to undertake general maintenance works, both planned and reactive. Previous experience in a general maintenance role is desirable.
