Full Job Description

Joselad Ltd, is an accountancy firm that currently has an exciting opportunity for a qualified candidate to join its team-based Glasgow, Scotland UK, as a management accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to the financial success and future growth of our clients' business and accounts. The chosen candidate will have the chance to join a dynamic and growing accounting company in a key role within the team.
Duties of the Post:

  • Analyse financial information to assist client's business profitability and growth.

  • Produce clients' month end and year end journals.

  • Ensure clients compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations

  • Advise on clients annual budgeting and planning process.

  • Manage clients' capital expenditure.

  • Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries for clients.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.

  • Submit clients' annual financial statements to Companies House and HMRC.

  • Provide support for businesses mergers, acquisitions, and other financial projects

    The ideal candidate is expected to have excellent analytical and numerical skills whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail. A solid foundation of basic accountancy skills is also required for this role including an understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles. An understanding of business is also important along with the ability to communicate effectively with other members of staff., o A recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).

  • o A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • o At least 3-5 years of experience in management accounting or a similar financial role.
    o Proven track record in preparing financial statements, budgets, and reports.
    o Experience in financial analysis and strategic planning.

  • Skills:

  • o Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
    o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present financial information clearly.
    o Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Excel).
    o Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
    o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    o Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
