Management Accountant

One of Scotland’s fastest growing businesses is partnered with iMultiply to recruit a Part Qualified Management Accountant in Glasgow. This role is best suited to a part-qualified or finalist candidate with management accounting experience, looking to progress in an exciting environment.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department with various accounting functions, and will be heavily involved in contributing to the rapid growth of the business. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities. 

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

• Preparation of Management Accounts.
• Support month-end close including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in financial analysis, variance analysis, and reporting to support decision-making processes.
• Taking a proactive ownership of the balance sheet
• Identify process improvement opportunities within finance and actively participate in implementing solutions. 
• Prepare and submitting VAT returns and other statutory reports.
• Assist in the day-to-day operational finance including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger entries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support on projects.
• Stay updated with relevant accounting regulations and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position you must have:

• Good understanding of transactional finance; Purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll.
• Experience of Month-end closing activities such as reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Able to take ownership of Balance Sheet, prepayments and accruals from day 1.
• Preparation of Monthly management accounts.
• Exposure to cashflow and budgets.
• VAT Returns.
• Strong with Excel and Xero.

On Offer

The role of Management Accountant will offer a salary range of £36,000 - £42,000 plus benefits, excellent progression potential and study support for the right candidate.
