Full Job Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a PE backed business to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or QBE accountant to develop their skill set and add value to a growing business. The Assistant Management Accountant will analyse financial data to provide insights that support business profitability and growth.


Ideally, this role would suit a part qualified/QBE accountant with a proven track record in sales margin analysis, variance analysis on forecast vs budget and communicating financial data to non-financial stakeholders.


Job Opportunity: Assistant Management Accountant (Hybrid)

Location: Grangemouth (Hybrid Working – 2 Days Onsite)


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales and margin analysis, identifying variances from forecasts and addressing live issues
  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and inventory review/control.
  • Support the creation of the annual budget and updates to forecasts
  • Partner with Regional Directors, providing timely and relevant financial insights
  • Forecast supplier and customer rebates, and calculate standards for manufacturing cost recoveries
  • Produce analysis packs on the performance of business units, regions, and branches
  • Submit monthly results and rolling forecasts to Group FP&A

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in management accounting or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial data analysis
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to a rapidly changing environment

Renumeration
