Oliver Smith Recruitment are working exclusively with our key client in Glasgow to recruit a Practice Accountant with experience in preparing management accounts, to join a leading manufacturing company based in Glasgow.

This role will involve cost accruals, revenue recognition, maintenance of the balance sheet, management accounts and payroll reconciliations.

The Role

• Completion of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring compliance with the UK&I reconciliation requirements, and drive accuracy in financial reporting by proactively ensuring reviewer recommendations are implemented.
• Perform Month-End Close activities, including the calculation, review and processing of all accruals, prepayments, revenue related transactions across customer contracts.
• Balance sheet control activities, including preparation of prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, contract receivables, provisions.
• Income Statement control activities, including analytical review procedures, customer profitability analysis, payroll review, overhead management.
• Support the external audit, Group and UK&I internal audits and Financial Controls & Assurance reviews.
