Oliver Smith Recruitment are exclusively partnering with a consultancy firm in Glasgow who are looking to recruit an immediately available Management Accountant.

Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance team in key accounting functions, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, month-end processes, and financial reporting. This role offers exposure to property and hospitality finance, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and financial reports for multiple group companies.

• Perform daily bookkeeping, including processing purchase and sales ledger transactions.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in financial records.

• Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns.

• Manage expenses, credit card transactions, petty cash analysis, and reconciliations.

• Handle service charge and rental invoicing, ensuring timely reconciliation.

• Maintain and update fixed asset registers, including depreciation calculations.

• Support month-end processes, including supplier payment runs and journal postings.

• Work collaboratively with the finance team on ad-hoc financial reports and tender documents related to the property and hospitality sector.

Quickbooks experience is essential for this role.
