Manager, Operations

We are looking for an energetic and proactive Manager, Operations to join our team. The ideal person for this role would have solid product knowledge, managerial skills to lead a team both local and remote, a customer centric mind-set and is able to generate opportunities for service. This position is preferably located in one of the Central Europe country offices in Aberdeen or Segensworth/Fareham. In this position, hybrid working is an option too.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Manager, Operations you will be responsible for Field Service operations teams of FS coordinators and administrative coordinators in Aberdeen and Segensworth/Fareham. As a service expert you will be responsible for providing solid technical and operational support opportunities towards our customer.

What you will do:

• Manage the own team to deliver customer orders at the right time in top class quality. Ensure optimal performance of customer installations and customer satisfaction.


• Ensure that FS activities are properly planned to meet agreed/contractual delivery times/quality and Customer requirements.in accordance with Code of Conduct, QEHS guideline.


• Manage Operations KPIs to ensure top efficiency and take timely and necessary action for improvements to develop a continuous improvement culture.


• Ensure timely and correct invoicing, reporting and dispute solving.


• Identify opportunities and contract orders for Wartsila products in CE region.


• Create and entertain strong relationship with shipyards and ship owners.


• Promote Wartsila products by giving technical presentations to our customers.


• Regular exchange of information and alignment of the sales projects with Sales.


• Participate in capture teams for the larger package projects.
  
  Commercial and technical understanding of our products and solutions.


• Knowledge of the marine market.


• Ability to engage in dialogue with different levels of the customer's organization.


• You are independent and pro-active, you are used to take own initiatives.


• You are result oriented and have a strong entrepreneurial drive.


• You are an excellent communicator who can translate (complex) technical information into clear business language and outcomes for stakeholders and communicate it to different audiences.


• Willingness to travel frequently.
