Managing Consultant / Senior Manager - Cost & Performance Management

With rapid growth across many of our sectors, we are looking for a talented Managing Consultant / Senior Manager to join our Enterprise Model and Strategy team.

This role will work across the Enterprise Model & Strategy team, with a specific focus to provide subject matter expertise and leadership for Cost Transformation and Enterprise Performance Management propositions.

Key expectations from this role include :

• Leading the delivery of large and complex projects, working collaboratively with team members and clients to rapidly understand and define business challenges and potential solutions.


• Develop and present meaningful and practical insights and recommendations, based on a robust evidence-base, and that can stand up to client scrutiny.


• Build strong, long-lasting client relationships as a trusted advisor at all levels.


• Coach, develop, and performance manage team members as part of project delivery.


• Lead the pursuit of business development opportunities for the Enterprise Model & Strategy practice, comprising strategy development & execution, operating model, process, service, and organisation design.


• Work with colleagues in our sub-brands, including frog on new product and service strategies and strengthen the convergence of design-led thinking, strategy, and operations.


• Support the growth of the Enterprise Model & Strategy team through engaging leadership and recruitment support across all levels.


• Applies their strong understanding of current strategic transformation trends to client delivery.


• Accountability for delivery of strategic transformation projects within Enterprise Model & Strategy and drive the further development of these accounts.


• Business development utilising a combination of the organisation's broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you'll be expected to generate an expected target revenue for Invent., As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories :


• Business Development Leading / contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.


• Internal contribution Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.


• Learning & development Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.


We'd Love to Meet Someone With

As a Manging Consultant / Senior Manager, you'll bring your delivery experience, communication, and stakeholder management skills to support our clients to innovate, develop new strategies, implement changes to their operating model, and future-proof the products and services they deliver.

You'll be responsible for building lasting client relationships, working closely with clients to design and implement new business and operating models, often taking an agile approach.

You'll be working alongside sector colleagues to deliver strategic transformations for the client, from technology implementations that change the way the company operates, to defining a new function that will deliver against their vision.

In addition, you will also contribute to the internal development of propositions for our clients and get involved in the running of the Enterprise Model and Strategy team, such as supporting our recruitment efforts, delivering training to fellow colleagues, and developing our market-ready propositions.

You will bring experience of delivering transformation projects from a range of clients and industries as well as an agile mindset, with an understanding of relevant tools and techniques.

You will be required to work and communicate with all levels of an organisation to collaboratively innovate, design, and implement new business and operating models.

You'll bring an acute sense of market trends and the challenges facing our clients, to deliver lasting and sustainable organisation transformations.


• Previous experience of general consulting / management experience with proven experience of delivering strategy / business model / operating model / organisational design work.


• A Chartered Accountant or equivalent with experience leading Cost Transformation & Enterprise Performance Management engagements and the ability to become our subject matter expert in this area.


• Stakeholder management : The ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior management level executives.


• Experience of building and managing teams to mobilise and manage multiple projects and workstreams.


• Strategic thinking : Working collaboratively with team members and clients to rapidly understand and define business challenges and potential solutions.


Ability to shape and solve problems using a fact-based approach to drive our insight.

• Analytical skills : Developing and presenting meaningful and practical insights and recommendations, based on robust evidence, and that can stand up to client scrutiny


• Developing and delivering solutions : Leading and planning the execution of overall work stream(s) necessary to the delivery of the programme in line with the appropriate methodology.


Contribute to the redesign activities of how services should operate to optimise the customer experience by embracing digital capabilities.

• Commercial acumen : The ability to sell additional resources, shape winning deals and be actively involved in the development of the account.


• Proven business success : Demonstrated business success defined by clear, measurable business outcomes achieved.


To be successful you'll be highly motivated, a self-starter, bring a proactive and can-do attitude to project delivery. You will be capable of working independently as well as in teams in our collaborative but sometimes demanding project environment.

You'll need to be credible and be able to effectively engage with stakeholders from all levels of an organisation, on a peer-to-peer basis.
