Full Job Description

QD Events deliver some of Scotland’s biggest live experiences, including The IRN-BRU Carnival, The Scottish Wedding Show and The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show. Part of the SEC Group, QD Events create events which benefit businesses and consumers want to come to – quite simply, we run some of the best events in Scotland!

We are looking for a motivated and digitally savvy Marketing Executive to help our team create and execute campaigns that attract leading businesses and visitors to our events each year, while also building our event brands for long-term success. It’s a hands-on role, and campaigns will include digital, TV, radio, outdoor, PR, and print, as well as working with event sponsors, partners and exhibitors. The ideal candidate is a great all-rounder, and is happy to turn their hand to everything from social media and copywriting, to websites, digital advertising and working with agencies.

The Marketing Executive will support the Marketing Team in achieving footfall and ticket revenue targets, and support the wider business with marketing collateral and activity.

The successful candidate should be keen to learn and get stuck in, happy to multi-task and be passionate about delivering high quality work and excellent customer service. They should also have the ability to build strong relationships within the company, and join our mission to provide a positive experience for every visitor and exhibitor.

If you have the following skills, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Marketing experience, ideally in the events industry (though not essential)
  • Good understanding of digital and social media
  • Highly organised and good with numbers
  • Creative thinker, happy to share and try new ideas
  • Passionate about visitor/customer experience
  • Copywriting
  • Understanding of GDPR and data best practice
  • Great communication skills
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Wants to be part of an award-winning team and run some of Scotland’s best events
