MARKETING MANAGER

LOCATION: ATRIUM COURT, GLASGOW

The Role: As the Marketing Manager you will lead on marketing strategies, advertising campaigns and other activations for ScotRail for commuter, business travel and leisure markets, to deliver brand health, revenue and journey targets. You will be responsible for the consistent delivery of the ScotRail tone of voice and brand identity. As well as strategies for behaviour change, this role will influence internal and external stakeholder groups to support business growth in a complex and regulated industry. The Marketing Manager will understand and incorporate business analytics and data to inform their approach and develop and deliver commercial strategies.

The Person: This position requires someone with proven marketing and brand experience, covering the full marketing mix in a fast-paced commercial environment. Experience of working within the travel industry is desirable. You must have first-class influencing, stakeholder management and communications skills and the ability to undertake multiple projects at the same time with a highly organised and logical approach. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills and the ability to adapt to change quickly are essential.

Knowledge/Skills: A comprehensive knowledge and proven track record in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of effective strategic and tactical marketing campaigns. Experience of managing a busy daily/weekly marketing task workflow. A self-starter with an understanding of the importance of working cross-functionally and the ability to create and lead project teams. A methodical, data-led planner cognisant of the customer journey in creating and executing campaigns. Demonstrable understanding of the role of customer insight and business data in the development of product, brand and communication strategies.

Hours of work: 35-hour week Monday – Friday, however some weekend work may be required. Predominately based in Atrium Court, Glasgow, although some travel across the ScotRail and UK rail network may be required. Reference Salary Range: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum.

Selection process: Assessment and Interview may form the initial stages of the selection process. The final stage for successful candidates will be a medical questionnaire. Appointees must submit at least two satisfactory references, Disclosure Scotland clearance and complete a six-month probation period.

Training: Training initially involves on-line Induction.
