Full Job Description

As a Material Handler in Kintore, you will ensure the smooth flow of materials to support the production of high-quality components for on and offshore applications. Your role involves managing materials, maintaining records, and collaborating with the machining and scheduling teams to meet production needs efficiently. You will be responsible for monitoring and delivering materials to the Machining Centre, supporting the production of high-quality components for onshore and offshore applications. Under the guidance of the Material Cell Leader, your role will involve identifying technical solutions and implementing process improvements to ensure the efficient handling and availability of materials. This is a key role in maintaining the seamless flow of operations and achieving production goals.,

  • Maintain the Material Register and Database to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Organize and manage material storage locations, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Conduct cyclic stock counts and liaise with Purchasing to monitor consignment stock levels.
  • Process material receipts to ensure availability for manufacturing within 24 hours.
  • Collaborate with the Machining Centre Scheduler to review and meet material requirements.
  • Develop and oversee daily work schedules for saw operators to optimize workflow.
  • Regularly review and improve departmental procedures, practices, and processes for efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality plans and company policies.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a profitable and efficient production environment.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Desirable:
  • Forklift certification (training can be provided).
  • Knowledge of MRP / manufacturing software.
  • Experience in a manufacturing stores environment or a similar role.
