Medical Receptionist Maternity Post

Temporary position for 9 months commencing mid December 2024

Salary hourly rate £11.53 -- £12.61 depending on experience

Due to maternity leave we are looking for a friendly and reliable person to join our hardworking reception team. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be empathetic and enjoy working with the general public. Duties will include dealing with patients at reception and over the telephone, booking and cancelling appointments, signposting patients to appropriate services, issuing prescriptions, processing mail, and all other administrative duties.

You should have excellent attention to detail and you must maintain patient confidentiality at all times. You should be able to work on your own, under pressure and as part of a team.

Experience of working in a GP practice setting and the use of EMIS and Docman is preferred.

Preferred working pattern

Wednesday and Thursday 0800 1630, Friday 0930 -1800 hours.
