Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Medical Secretary based at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
You, as part of a job share and will provide a comprehensive medical secretarial service to Consultant within Respiratory Medicine as well as the Clinical Team who support that role.
Core duties will be transcription from digital dictation of all clinical correspondence and be responsible for operating and maintaining the computerised waiting list on Trak. Processing patient results appropriately and timeously is also required

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Experience within a Medical Secretarial environment is essential and you should have a relevant secretarial qualification e.g. AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA or Scotvec qualification or equivalent experience. A working knowledge of the patient management system (Trakcare) and knowledge of medical terminology is essential including the ability to operate and maintain a computerised waiting list.
