Full Job Description

It is an exciting time to join the Law Society of Scotland. We are creating a new team that brings together our accreditations and affiliate memberships. To support this change, we are looking for an administrator to join the team.

This role is varied, with significant contact with solicitors, paralegals and expert witnesses.

An important part of the role is being the first point of contact for solicitors and paralegals who wish to apply for accreditation through the Law Society and for those who wish affiliate membership.

The role entails liaising with applicants and colleagues throughout the application process to determine if the applicant meets the eligibility criteria and thereafter processing the applications.

Once the applicants are successful, the role holder will be dealing with day-to day enquiries (phone and email) and maintaining the records. Each group is required to renew their status (some annually) and it will be the job of the role holder to ensure that renewal processes run smoothly.

The role will provide monthly reporting on accredited and affiliate membership groups and will have a strong focus on membership growth and retention.
