Salary range: £21,900 - £21,900

FTE: 1 (35 hours/week)

Term: Fixed Term (24 months)

The University of Strathclyde seeks to appoint a Modern Apprentice to work within Strathclyde Sport.  The post holder will be part of a large multi-disciplinary team providing clerical and administrative support to our busy portfolio of Sport and Well-being services across a broad range of administrative activities.  Delivery of services will require enthusiasm, personal responsibility and initiative from someone who is able to communicate effectively with all University staff, Strathclyde Sport members / users and stakeholders.  You will be a confident individual, who is a ‘team player’ and who is keen to learn.

To be considered for the role, you will have a minimum of 4 Nat 5’s at Level A, B, or C, which should include English, Maths and Computing / Administration & IT /  and have good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in a customer facing environment is desirable and good IT skills are essential. 

The Modern Apprenticeship programme is co-ordinated within the University and gives the successful candidate an opportunity to “earn and learn” as they will achieve an SQA qualification over the course of two years’ programme.  Please note, that as a result of the funding rules, Modern Apprentices must start the scheme before their 20th birthday or 29th birthday if registered disabled or care experienced.

This is a fixed term appointment for 24 months.
