Job Description

You will be part of the team that is responsible for roads maintenance, roadworks control, traffic signal network, accident investigation and improvement of road safety schemes.

You will be based across various locations in Glasgow, and work in two offices and a roads depot. You will work on rotation and be based within a busy roads department working in different sections.

Traffcom: upgrading and repairing the traffic signal network

Parking

Roads Safety: investigating accidents and improvement of road safety schemes

Lighting projects and maintenance

Roads Maintenance of carriageways, footways and winter maintenance

Typical progression:

SVQ Level 3 Construction Contracting Operations: Site Technical Support

NC L5

HNC Level 6

Each candidate’s performance is evaluated regularly to assess suitability for progression.
